2. Definitions
- "Simply Tax," "Company," "we," "us," or "our" refers to the tax services provider operating this website.
- "Client," "user," "you," or "your" refers to any individual or entity utilizing our service(s).
- "Services" refer to the tax-related services we provide, including but not limited to, tax return preparation, submission, and advisory support.
- "Fee(s)" shall mean all charges and expenses that will by invoiced by the Simply Tax Ltd to the customer for the Services provided under the Product.
- "HMRC" refers to His Majesty's Revenue and Customs, the UK tax authority.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions.
- "Tax Return" means a document that must be filed with the HMRC declaring liability for taxation.
3. Scope of Services
All Services provided by Simply Tax to the Customer will be detailed on the Product Page. Our services include but are not limited to:
- Personal and business tax return preparation and submission
- Self-assessment tax assistance
- VAT and corporate tax services
- Tax advisory and consultation
- Tax compliance and regulatory guidance
4. User Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information required for tax processing.
- Submit all supporting documentation as needed.
- Review and approve your tax return before submission.
- Keep accurate tax records for a minimum of 6 years as required by HMRC.
- Cooperate with any audits or further information requests from HMRC.
- Inform us of any changes that may impact your tax status.
Failure to provide accurate information may result in errors, penalties, or delays for which we are not liable.
5. Fees, Payments, and Refunds
- Our service fees will be disclosed before you proceed with any transaction.
- Payments must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed upon.
- We accept payments via credit card, bank transfer, and other methods as specified on our website.
- We reserve the right to refuse service if payment is not received.
- Refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances, and must be requested before the tax return is submitted to HMRC. No refunds will be processed once a tax return has been filed.
- If there is a dispute regarding payment or services rendered, clients agree to follow the dispute resolution process outlined in Section 13.
6. Accuracy, Liability, and Disclaimers
- We take reasonable care in preparing and submitting tax returns but cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as refunds or reductions in tax liability.
- We are not responsible for penalties, fines, or interest imposed by HMRC due to late or inaccurate filings resulting from incorrect information provided by the user.
- We are not liable for any loss resulting from the failure of users to provide necessary information or documents, or for issues related to external systems (e.g., HMRC delays).
- It is the Customer's responsibility to provide complete and accurate information to Simply Tax for the purposes of us completing the Customer's Tax Return.
- Simply Tax does not accept any liability for false information whether this was provided by accident, mistake or intentionally by the customer which results in HMRC being misled.
- Limitation of Liability: Our liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the services provided. We are not responsible for any consequential or indirect loss.
- When Simply Tax are appealing fines and/or penalties that have been applied to the customer's HMRC account, we cannot assure or guarantee the customer on removing fines.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simply Tax, its officers, employees, and agents from any legal claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the services, including but not limited to, violations of tax laws, false declarations, or failure to cooperate with HMRC.
8. Privacy, Confidentiality, and Data Protection
- We are committed to protecting your personal and financial information in accordance with data protection laws, including GDPR.
- Your data will be collected, processed, and stored for the purpose of providing tax services and may be shared with HMRC or other relevant authorities as required by law.

- We retain your data for a minimum period as required by law, after which it will be securely deleted.
9. HMRC Correspondence and Audit Support
- We may act as an intermediary between you and HMRC, but we are not responsible for HMRC's decisions, processing times, or audit outcomes.
- If HMRC requests additional information or an audit, it is your responsibility to comply with their requirements and provide the necessary documents. We will assist where possible but are not responsible for audit outcomes.
10. Service Limitations and Force Majeure
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service due to external factors beyond our control, such as technical failures, changes in legislation, or government actions.
- In cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, system outages, regulatory changes), we will make reasonable efforts to continue providing services but cannot be held liable for disruptions.
11. User Accounts and Security
- Users must register an account to access certain services on our website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and must not share them with others.
- Any activity conducted under your account will be considered your responsibility. Simply Tax is not liable for any unauthorized access due to failure to safeguard account details.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately.
12. Termination and Suspension of Services
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if a user provides fraudulent information, engages in illegal activities, or breaches these terms.
- Users may discontinue our services at any time; however, fees already paid are non-refundable.
- No refund will be issued if your application is rejected or delayed by HMRC due to the details you have provided or if you are applying for a UTR number, but a Self-Assessment registration already exists under your name in HMRC records.
- If we received any documents from the client for the team to process, the fee paid up to that moment is not refundable.
13. Intellectual Property Rights
- All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Simply Tax and is protected under intellectual property laws.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written consent. Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.
14. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
- If you have a complaint regarding our services, you must contact us first to attempt to resolve the issue amicably.
- We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes but are not obligated to provide compensation beyond service fees paid.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be settled in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and will be subject to jurisdiction in English courts.

18. Accepting our Terms & Conditions (T&C's):
- By sending us their information to complete their Tax Return, or any other service mentioned on our website, Simply Tax will initiate Services. Once services are initiated, these Terms and Conditions shall come into full effect.
